  1. Do we use analysis tools?

Yes. We may obtain personal information about your online activities over time. On the Site, we use third-party online analytics services, such as Google Analytics. The service providers that administer these analytics services use automated technologies to collect data (such as email addresses, IP addresses, cookies and other device identifiers) to evaluate, for example, the use of the website and to diagnose technical issues.
We use the Google Analytics service from Google LLC (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; “Google”) to analyse our website visitors. Google Analytics tracks users website behaviour, using the Google Analytics Cookie. This data includes user behaviours like pages visited and visit durations. All data in Google Analytics is aggregated and anonymised. Meaning, although IP addresses are tracked to determine user locations, no personal data can be attributed to one individual session, and these locations aren’t ever exact, the most accurate these will ever get is tracking users to the nearest city. We have Google Analytics Demographic and Interest Reporting enabled, and this gives us insight into behaviour information relating to visitor age, gender and interests on an anonymous and aggregate level. This will help us to understand browsing behaviour to give you a better experience whilst visiting our sites. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of our website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. User and Event data retention policy: we don’t automatically expire any user or event data; this is so that we can use all historic data to better improve the website user experience.

Data protection law in certain jurisdictions differentiates between the “controller” and “processor” of information. In general, ORBOTIX is the processor of Customer/Client Data and the controller of Other Information.

  1. Data subject rights

Data protection law in certain jurisdictions differentiates between the “controller” and “processor” of information. In general, ORBOTIX is the processor of Customer/Client Data and the controller of Other Information.

Right to be informed

To know the identity of the data controller and the purpose for obtaining your personal information. Controller shall take all appropriate measures to provide the data subject with all information regardless of whether the data is collected from the data subject or not, in a concise, transparent and intelligible, and easily accessible form, using clear and plain language

Right of access

To get a copy of your personal information. The GDPR grants the data subject with the right to obtain confirmation from the controller as to whether his/her personal data is being processed, to access the data. In addition, the data subject is entitled to information relating to the following: the retention period (if known or if unknown the criteria used to determine this period).

Right of rectification or erasure (‘the right to be forgotten’)

To have your personal information corrected or deleted if inaccurate. The data subject’s right to request from the controller rectification or deletion of personal data, to restrict the processing or to object to the processing, the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, the source of the data.

Right to block, restrict certain uses

To prevent your personal information being used for certain purposes. The data subject can restrict the processing of his or her personal data in certain situations, if the accuracy of the data is contested, the processing is unlawful, the controller no longer requires the personal data for the purposes of processing, but the data is still required to establish, exercise or defend a claim or there is a pending erasure request and the data controller is verifying it.

Right to object to the processing

To stop some specific uses of your personal information. Data subjects continue to enjoy the right to object at any time to the processing of their personal data on particular grounds (in particular, relating to his or her particular situation) and for direct marketing purposes including profiling.

Right to portability

The GDPR introduces the new right to data portability which essentially requires the controller to provide the data to the data subject in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format to be freely transferred to another controller without any restrictions from the initial controller. In addition, where it is technically feasible to do so, the initial controller may be requested by the data subject to transfer the personal data directly to another controller. The right to data portability applies only when the data is processed by automated means and the processing is based on consent or to fulfil a contract.

Freedom from automated decision making, right not to be subject to automated individual-decision making and profiling

To have a human input in the making of important decisions relating to you. Data subjects have a right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing (includes profiling) if these decisions produce legal effects or similarly significantly affects the data subject.

Revocation of your consent to the processing of data

A wide range of data processing transactions are possible only if they are subject to your express consent. You can also revoke at any time any consent you have already given us. To do so, all you are required to do is send us an informal notification via e-mail to [email protected]  . This shall be without prejudice to the lawfulness of any data collection that occurred prior to your revocation.
